I want to say I am so happy and of course I am but it’s always a mixed bag. People who don’t have cancer are elated and jubilant and usually we cancer folk are more subdued, wary. I have decided this time is for going deeper with people I care about, and sparing my life down to real enjoyable things, great coffee, sunrises, swimming outside in nature, grandkids, riding in my FU Cancer convertible, reading on the porch chaise lounge, you get it. Upgraded what I could here instead of grand travel, but thats just me, my precious one life doesnt want bucket list adventures but will support anything anyone says they want to do with theirs. My favorite poem is a Whitman poem so there ya go there is a reason they are beloved.
Yeah it’s so complicated. It’s almost another hit to get a clean scan. It’s a constant - now what? Agree - it’s less about goals. It’s just moments. I love what you e said here.
I studied with Louise Glück, John Ashbery, and some other famous poets; I’ve taught college English for 15 years; and I think Robert Frost and Mary Oliver’s writing is great. Your writing is pretty damn impressive, too!
